Blackjack Betting Strategies: Excellent Advice Explained
When you are a newcomer to Blackjack you are best of to begin by studying the basic strategy for Blackjack and also get a correct Blackjack strategy card, that you can have next to you when playing online.
Different approaches to betting have been experimented with as long as the game has been around, with the end goal being to outsmart the odds. Sometimes all it takes is to understand and follow a handful of basic tips and you can greatly improve your chances of winning. You need to make sure that you fully understand the rules of Blackjack first, but what of the techniques to use at the table?
We normally think of counting cards when we think of Blackjack strategies, though if a casino spots you doing this they will eject you. You can see how this technique could help you, since you can narrow down which cards are left in the deck. Knowing which cards have yet to be dealt permits you to frame your wager.
There are no casinos that will allow you to keep track of that have left the deck. However, if you’re one of the lucky once that can remember all the cards, then by all means try this method until you are found out and banned! However, you can take advantage of card counting since when you play online you are free to do whatever you want.
An aspect of the game that you should pay close attention to are the rulings, because even the slightest difference can impact your odds. An example of a rule that is important is whether or not you are allowed to split your hand. Having the opportunity to split your hand can help you win big, but if not you are unlikely to be able to generate a comfortable sum.
Another rule that may vary is whether or not the dealer is required to stand at 17. You’ll have a much harder time winning if the dealer isn’t under the hold at 17 restriction. There are other situations where the rules can differ, these are just two that can make it much more difficult to win.
Aside from any differences in specific rules, what should you keep in mind when determining how to bet? You will find a large number of strategies for betting on Blackjack, and you you should evaluate several before selecting one. Of the many wagering techniques followed, probably the most widely adopted are the Martingale and Paroli systems.
There are many Blackjack betting strategies which share a number of similarities, though both Martingale and Paroli are entirely opposed in principle. Martingale’s method suggests that for every occasion you lose a hand you increase the bet a hundred percent, only returning to the initial amount on a winning hand. With Paroli, however, on a win you double the bet, and go back to the original bet after a loss. The Paroli betting system is all about trying to take advantage of winning streaks while the Martingale system is focused on beating losing streaks. Neither system is perfect. If playing by Martingale you need a large bankroll. Say you begin with a $10 bet and go on to lose 7 hands back to back for a combined loss of $1270 you now need to bet $1280 on the eight round! Paroli doesn’t require a big wallet. Letting your initial bet be $10 and loosing 7 rounds back to back will only cost you $70.
Although along fairly similar lines as the first two betting systems, the Parlay method can be a little safer than either in the long run. Similar to the Martingale strategy, winning a hand sees you increase the bet, you just don’t double it, you simply add a portion of the value won to the standard bet.
One of the best ways of improving your chance of winning, or at least working out how much to bet, is working with a calculator designed for Blackjack. This is primarily just a system of keeping track of the cards left to be played, and assists you in determining the odds on other cards being played. You are in a much stronger position if you know the odds, greatly putting the odds back on your side.
However, you can only use techniques based on calculators online. Keeping a scorecard or using a calculator would have you banned from a real casino game! To use all the strategies together, an online casino is your best option.

Horse Race Betting Systems – Excellent Strategies Explained
If you are looking for tips on how to win at horse racing then knowing todays horse racing tips and a number of good horse race betting systems are things you really must study further.
Anyone who ever goes to the track certainly wants to know how to improve their chances of winning. What tricks have professionals developed use in order to boost their profits and minimize losing bets? How do the experts pinpoint which horse stands out from the rest of the field? Although there are many betting systems around, how reliable are they, and are they worth risking your money?
These are examples of the typical questions that beginning horse racing betters ask. So let us start showing you all how to win at horse racing!
Most people enjoy a flutter on the horses now and then, and sometimes this can just be for fun. But you do find those that look for a windfall from horse racing, and put considerable resources into it. What techniques and tools do they take advantage of in order to pick a good bet?
First of all, one of the most important things you can do is to assess all horses running. It is very unlikely that you will be a winner by just picking a horse with a name that strikes your fancy. Evaluate each of the horses, and assess their chances to enable you to identify a likely candidate.
One of the misconception that a lot of individuals make is to back the horse with the best form. When you only look at the top rated choices you are limiting the amount you can win. The tendency to do this is probably based on the fact that a third of the time, the outcome will be as expected.
Whilst this certainly seems quite understandable, a thorough check may reveal similarly fine runners with better possibility for a win. Consider a case where the top contender has odds of 3/1, but a horse with similar characteristics has much higher odds – then you’ll want to strongly consider the second horse. Another solid piece of advice is to make sure you watch more than just a few races. By seeing a greater number of races you will find yourself improving your winning percentage.
Besides simply being classed as a favorite there are a variety of factors that will affect how a horse performs in a given race. You should maintain information on horse’s performance under various track characteristics and what the outcomes of the races were. Along with notes on the way horses run, you should keep track of your betting record. By documenting your performance you’ll give yourself a tool for spotting patterns, and in which cases you aren’t successful.
Many betters like to make just a single bet, and that it is foolish to place multiple bets. This advice doesn’t hold up though, as bad bets are usually made because of bad horse selection. Of course, if you don’t use good reasoning in selecting a horse to bet on, making multiple bets will put lots more cash at risk. But if you make your bets based on sound logic, making multiple bets can improve your return.
When you find yourself looking at a good horse with 10 to 1 odds, but is at odds of 10 to 1 you need to consider how it compares with the rest of the field. Check to see if the second or third favorites could win. If they seem to have a valid chance, then bet each way, otherwise place you money on the one that you determine is the most likely to win.
At times you will see a good horse with low odds, such as 3/1, how should you frame your wager? You need to evaluate the entire field to determine the strongest horses, and should cover the best of the lot with bets. You can avoid the common mistake of placing a wager to win only for horses listed as the most likely winner. While placing both a win and a place bet seems to make sense, any bet should always be placed on the probability of winning. Remember – you have to take a wider view than the book, but the way the favorite looks when compared to the other top choices.
The real trick to learning how to having luck at horse racing is to watch as many races as you can, keep comprehensive records of, horses and tracks, and place your bets based on your experience and knowledge rather than on whims.

Different Types Of Poker Games – Valuable Info
A game much better than Texas Hold’em where action is concerned is Omaha or Omaha Hi/Low. It is quite similar to Hold’em, the difference is that the player gets 4 hole cards. Having 2 extra cards almost make sure that there is a best hand possible. The Hi/Low versions make these various poker games even more fun. As the player who has hit tries to push the chasers out, the betting gets wild.
Different strategies are required for these varieties of poker games if you want to participate in games where you can scoop the pot. Scooping the pot entails winning both the Hi and Low versions of the game. The variables and the 4 hole cards ensure that there is a lot of money to be won.
7 card stud is a great choice from the wide selection of poker games available. It too has both the Hi and Low versions. The pattern of dealing is 2 cards face up and then one face down. Every contender is dealt another card with its face up after one round of betting. This recurs till all the participants in the hand have 4 up cards and 2 down cards. After this stage of receiving the last down card, what happens is the final betting round.
Holdem Stud Poker is not a chaser’s game like the other varieties of poker games, for example Omaha. If your hand does not develop within the first round of betting and solidify on the second up card, you need to get out of the hand. You stand to lose everything. As it is necessary to keep in mind all the cards that have been dealt so far, this game requires brainpower too. You cannot waste time looking for a card which has already been folded on board. Keep a mental note of the cards on the board.
Another variation on 7 is Razz, a different type of poker game appropriate for people with bad luck. You stand to gain if you have a very bad hand. Unlike other games where having A-2-3-4-6-7-8 will have you banging your head, in Razz it is a dream hand. It is dealt and bet the same exact way as 7 stud, you just the lowest ranked hand on the board to win. As in regular stud, only 5 cards play.
Triple Draw is one more poker game which is becoming popular. It is filled with action and amusement. If you play it properly, it can earn you lots of money. People tend to play this for fun, especially at the lower levels. This is a different type of Razz with a 5 card draw. There is a round of betting after you get 5 cards. You may throw away the cards you don’t want but see that you have the worst possible hand. In standard Triple Draw, 2-3-4-5-7 is the nuts. When the first draw is over, one more betting and discard round takes place. The third and last draw is followed by one more betting round and then the showdown takes place. No pairs, flushes or straights are necessary to win. You only need trash for victory.

Learning A Variety Of Poker Games
For those who prefer action, Omaha or Omaha Hi/Low is a great game. The difference between Texas Hold’em and Omaha is that the participant receives 4 hole cards in Omaha. With the 2 additional cards, the possibility of getting a best hand increases. The Hi/Low versions make these various poker games even more fun. This gets the betting pumped up as the hand that has hit is betting like crazy to try and get the chasers out of the action.
The strategy for these different types of poker games is significantly different though as you want to get involved in hands where you can scoop the pot. Scooping the pot entails winning both the Hi and Low versions of the game. The variables and the 4 hole cards ensure that there is a lot of money to be won.
While there are many different types of poker games to choose from, an old favorite is 7 card stud. It too has both the Hi and Low versions. The pattern of dealing is 2 cards face up and then one face down. Every contender is dealt another card with its face up after one round of betting. This continues till all the contenders in the game have 2 cards facing down and 4 cards facing up. This is the time when the final round of betting occurs.
Holdem Stud Poker is different from other poker games like Omaha as it is not a chaser’s game. If your hand does not develop within the first round of betting and solidify on the second up card, you need to get out of the hand. If you do not do that, you will lose. This is also a thinking man’s game as you must be able to keep track of all the cards that are dealt out. You cannot afford to lose track of the cards already folded and look for the wrong card. Pay attention and keep track of the cards on the board.
Razz is a poker game with a difference, just meant for people with bad luck. Here you are aiming for the worst possible cards. You can scoop the pot in Razz with A-2-3-4-6-7-8. It is played in the same manner as 7 stud, you only need the lowest ranked hand to emerge a winner. Only 5 cards play just like normal stud.
Another poker game gaining a lot of popularity nowadays is Triple Draw. It is filled with action and amusement. This is a money making game if you have discipline. People tend to play this for fun, especially at the lower levels. This game is more or less a version of Razz that uses 5 card draw as its model. The players are given 5 cards and a round of betting takes place. You may throw away the cards you don’t want but see that you have the worst possible hand. 2-3-4-5-7 is a big thing for standard Triple Draw. Another betting and discard round occurs after the first draw. After the third draw and one more round of betting, it is time for the showdown. Do not forget, no pairs, flushes or straights are required. You only require the worst cards to win.

Is Not Managing Your Bankroll Causing You to Lose at Poker?
We here the term poker bankroll and bankroll management all of the time, but why is this so important? This question can be answered quite easily, if you go broke then you can’t continue to play. I know it sounds easy, but this is the main reason why so many poker players lose. People are trying to win too much too fast which usually results in many redeposits back into the poker sites.
When I talk about poker bankroll, I’m referring to the amount of cash that has been put aside to use on nothing else but to play poker. It should definitely not be money that you need for the necessities like food, rent or clothing. The amount that you choose, should be an amount that you are comfortable losing playing poker. When it comes to managing my poker bankroll, here is what I would suggest and personally use.
SNG (Sit n Go’s) – I use 2% or 1/50th of my bankroll for each buy in. For example if you have a $1000 bankroll then you should be playing $20 SNG’s
Multi Table Tournaments (MTT) – I used 1% or 1/100th of my bankroll for each buy in. The reason for this is that usually in MTT’s they only pay the top 10% so you will be cashing less often and you will have more fluctuations with your overall bankroll.
Cash Games – Use only 2% or 1/50th of each buy in. As an example if you were playing $1/$2 NL, the buy in is usually 100 X Big Blind so in this case $200. In my opinion a bankroll of 10K is needed at these levels.
These are the simple guidelines that I have followed to never have to redeposit into my poker site again and as extreme as it seems, will virtually eliminate the possibilities of you going broke. There is no doubt that you will go through some losing periods as poker can be a roller coaster ride. Not having enough cash to handle these downswings can force you into making poor decisions due to the extra pressure added. There is so much truth in the old saying “Scared money is losing money”.
